Literature Review

Using ePortfolios in an elementary classroom is a significant move away from the
traditional paper-based work displays. The opportunity to move to an electronic format allows
the students to include items that were not able to be included before such as text documents,
images, videos, and audio recordings to show their progress and learning. Having student
ePortfolios will also give educators valuable insight into their students' individual growth and
offer the ability to tailor learning to their needs. By taking a deeper dive into available literature, this review seeks to provide an overview of the benefits and drawbacks of ePortfolios for
elementary students.
